Remind
101~that’s what Wednesday’s Web of Knowledge is about today. Teachers are always looking for ways to
better communicate with parents, and Remind 101 is one way. The website is www.remind101.com. This website allows parents to sign up for
text message and email reminders for their child’s class. The teacher simply logs in and composes the
message. The message is then sent via
text message or email to the parents who have signed up. The teacher’s phone number is never given
out.
Have I
used this site?? Absolutely!! With all
the technology we have, I think it’s important to reach parents in as many ways
possible. Having the ability to not only
email and send parents a reminder text is a fabulous way to keep the
communication lines open. My students’
parents have enjoyed the service so far because they are constantly
updated/reminded of classroom and school information. I would definitely recommend this to any
teacher who is looking for another way to communicate with parents.
